World Record Surf Established 2013
Europe now holds the record for the largest wave ever ridden,on the 29th October 2013 Carlos burle recently rode a 100ft wave at Nazare In portugal. Lets fetch another record to Europe! Porthcawl can be found in a sleepy corner of Wales U.K. Its here that a wave has been recognised as possibly the best wave to achieve the attempt of ”THE MOST SURFERS ON A WAVE AT THE SAME TIME”.
You do not have to be a pro surfer to take part . This is not an attempt to ride the worlds biggest wave! In fact you don’t have to be able to surf at all as full surf training will be available in the lead up to the event. The attempt will take place at Coney Beach or Rest Bay Porthcawl we are not looking at riding a big wave in fact all surfers will be in their own depth of water.
We are looking at holding the event in October/November. These months are the best for Swell consistency and relatively warm water temperatures.
If you want to be a surfing record breaker, download the entry form now ! If you have any questions please dont hesitate to e mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com and we will send you an entry form be quick we have to limit the entrants to 200.
Spaces left! Please suport this event, Download the entry form. (see below )
Due to the original date being postponed because of the lack of a suitable wave the official event will go into a holding period. We will keep you informed via our facebook page.
Rest Bay wasn’t an option for the official event as the wave is not deemed suitable to hold up to 200 people.
Mother nature is fickle at the best of times, especially so when it comes down to providing us with suitable waves. However the later we go into the Autumn months the better the chances of tropical storms off America, resulting in lows in the Atlantic and surf on the Welsh beaches.
